Committed to the promotion of good corporate governance and business ethics, the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre serves again as a supporting organisation for the "Directors of The Year Awards 2021" (the Awards) organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

 

 "Leading in New Normal" is the theme of the Awards this year, aiming to promote a positive attitude and mindset among directors in navigating the complex global environment in 2021. Outstanding directors and boards capable of dynamic steering in circumstances ever-changing, and leading their organisations towards sustainable development will be acknowledged.

Striving to maintain the highest level of integrity and competence of the financial sector, the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre is pleased to serve again as a supporting organisation of the "FinTech Award" (the Award) under the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2021

 

The Award, with the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers being appointed as its leading organiser, aims to encourage the development of FinTech innovation and solutions for enhancing operations and fostering new modes of business for the financial sector.

 

Companies in the banking, insurance, securities trading as well as fund and asset management industries are encouraged to participate in the Award.  The closing date for enrolment is 16 July 2021 noon. For enquiries, please call 2153-7872 or 2153-7886, or email to fintechaward@hkib.org.

The BEDC Channel is a new online training platform of the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre, which offers free thematic webinars regularly for business practitioners and professionals of different trades and sectors. Our experienced Centre's staff will explain the anti-corruption laws and discuss integrity and governance related issues with participants.

With an aim to promote business ethics and ethical governance, the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre continues to support the ACRU 2021, the annual signature event of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries to be held online on 11 June 2021 (Friday). 

 

Participants may learn about important emerging regulatory developments, concerns, and enforcement trends from industry professionals and representatives from the HKSAR Government and the regulatory bodies.  Governance professionals, company secretaries, directors and senior management are encouraged to join this online conference.

The IFTA FinTech Achievement AwardsThe IFTA FinTech Achievement Awards 2020 is organised by the Institute of Financial Technologists of Asia (IFTA) to recognise the extraordinary achievements made by companies and individuals in the FinTech industry.  The theme of this year's Awards is "Embracing FinTech amid New Normal and Accelerating Digitization".  Corporates and individuals in the FinTech community are encouraged to submit online application for the Awards by 26 March 2021 (Friday) 18:00.  More details are available from the programme flyer or the event website.
